Yarn depend on size i used 3 skeins on mine.. of 3 deffrent colours
Starting with sole
Row1: ch5 sl st and make circle
Row2: ch3, 16dc into circle slp st to join
Row3: ch3, 2dc in each across sl st to join
Row4: repeat row 3
Row5: ch3,2dc into next st,*1dc into next st, 2dc into next st, rep join with sl st
Row6: repeat row 5
Row7: ch3,1dc each across
(If u want wider size u can repeat row 3 after row2.. for large size)
Here is the starting of design (crocodile)
Row8:ch3,2dc into the next st,*ch1,sk 2st 1dc into next st,ch1,sk 2st,2dc into next st, rpt... sl st to join
Row9: sk 1dc work 5bpdc around the next dc. Working from top to bottom.. sts should line the length of the dc from the row.. work 5bpdc around the next dc, this time working from bottom to top
Remember that you work from top to bottom on the first side of the scale then you will work from bottom to top on the second side sl st into the next dc to secure first crocodile scale.. repeat this to end and join with sl st
Row10: ch1, sl st into center of the first scale,ch4,*2dc into next sl st,ch1, 1dc into center of scale, rpt to end join with sl st..
(Rpt these rows for 8 time, or until u get ur desire length)
In the last ch5,sk 5st dc into next st rep join with slp stitch cut of the thread..
Make 2 cords of Ch 80 a
Now insert these cords into the chain (on the top of the bag) then knot them together
